Environments
This species is common in northern California to Washington and is the most common pest ants in the south-south region of Arkansas and West Tennessee. May be encountered from time to time throughout the Midwest of the United States. These ants live outdoors under the elements on the ground, within the sawdust, under the bark loose on trees, under the ground cover, in potted plants and in piles of elements such as wood, firewood or bricks. Nests can be easily built inside houses, in walls, under carpets and other spaces or spaces.
