Nabil Bentaleb has been awarded the Player of the Month award for the first time in his S04 career! His outstanding performances through the month of October earned him 57 percent of the vote, with Sead Kolasinac, Leon Goretzka and Yevhen Konoplyanka sharing out the remainder.
The midfielder received his award – along with which comes a specialised chronograph from Schalke’s official watchmaker Festina – at the VELTINS-Arena after the 3-1 win over SV Darmstadt 98 on Sunday. “I am very proud,” declared the Algeria international after the game.
The gift was given to him by Benjamin Bojanczyk and his son Emil. “I asked my son if we should vote on schalke04.de, and Emil said without a second of doubt that we should click Nabil Bentaleb!” Doing so brought some luck their way, clearly!
Emil and his father naturally took the opportunity to take a few photos with Bentaleb, and were themselves given a new Festina clock for their house.
Fans will soon have the chance to secure a Festina product of their own once again. Voting for November Player of the Month will be opened on 5th December.
