Borussia Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp is to take a break from
football after leaving the Borussia Dortmund coaching job.
Klopp, whose last game was Dortmund's 3-1 defeat in Saturday's German
Cup final, said Monday he would be taking a break "until further
notice."
He added: "After seven intensive and emotional years of 'real love' I
think it makes sense to process the countless memories before I take
on a new task, fresh and highly motivated, with my team."
Klopp, 47, had been linked to a number of top European clubs since
announcing on April 15 he would be leaving Dortmund, where he won two
league titles and reached a Champions League final.
Former Mainz coach Thomas Tuchel is to succeed Klopp at Dortmund.
