I am really sorry in case this blog hurts some of you, but it's a matter of personal freedom and those who know me are aware that freedom is my most worshipped value.
There's an initiative going on and this time it's a well organized panel of people which let the European Commission know about their thoughts and this time we have a real chance to make the laws change or at least make all Europeans equal against the law, which is the ultimate right of all individuals.

Main objectives:
There is currently a heterogeneous legal map as regards cannabis policies in the EU. The question of coherence and discrimination is worth asking. A common policy on the control and regulation of cannabis production, use and sale would: (a) ensure equality before the law and non-discrimination of all EU citizens; (b) protect consumers and monitor health security; (c) end cannabis trafficking. Let’s leap toward the legalization of cannabis and the harmonization of national legislations accross the EU.
Why I decided to write it here? The collection of the signatures started many months ago and despite this matter regards a lot of citizens, we collected only a few more than 10%, so I really wish that all the people caring for freedom and equality will join this battle.
It's not a matter of drugs, because recently a well known oncologist from Italy declared that he's in favour of the decriminalization of cannabis, stating it's far less harmful than tobacco smoke and alcohol...

I'm not a consumer of mary jane but I do not smoke or drink alcohol, neither do I consume any other drugs, but in case everyone of us will be allowed to grow a plant for her/his own consumption I may consider to use it instead of other, legal, drugs.
