Premier pilote à s’imposer deux fois cette saison, Dani Pedrosa s’installe en tête du Championnat du Monde MotoGP™ 2013 après avoir réalisé une superbe course sur piste mouillée au Monster Energy Grand Prix de France. A ses côtés sur le podium, Cal Crutchlow, qui signait son meilleur résultat dans la catégorie reine, et Marc Márquez.

Qualifié en seconde position pour le Monster Energy Grand Prix de France, Jorge Lorenzo a été le plus rapide dimanche matin lors du warm-up, lors duquel les pilotes roulaient sur piste mouillée pour la première fois du week-end.

Tombé lors de la quatrième et dernière séance d’essais, Marc Márquez a été impressionnant en qualifications samedi après-midi et s’est emparé de la pole position pour le Monster Energy Grand Prix de France. Le leader du classement général retrouvera en première ligne le Champion du Monde en titre Jorge Lorenzo ainsi qu’un brillant Andrea Dovizioso, en première ligne avec Ducati pour la première fois.

Deuxième après les essais libres 3, Jorge Lorenzo a retrouvé la tête de la feuille des temps lors des essais libres 4 du Grand Prix de France en MotoGP. En 1’33’’508, le champion du monde devance ses compatriotes Marc Marquez (à 0’’309) et Dani Pedrosa (à 0’’437). Valentino Rossi est au pied du podium, à la 4e place (à 0’’802).

Dani Pedrosa et Jorge Lorenzo se sont fermement battus pour la première position vendredi matin au Mans et ont terminé avec tout juste quarante millièmes de seconde d’écart. Valentino Rossi est troisième, à trois dixièmes des deux Espagnols.
