CanalSat , French satellite TV platform , has migrated all of its services to the satellite Astra 1N ( 19.2 ° East ) . We recall that this satellite ceased its presence at 28.2 ° East and is now fully operational in the position for which he was initially conceived .

All transponders being used so far in the CanalSat Astra 2C ( 19.2 ° East ) are already present in Astra 1N . CanalSat customers do not have to make any changes to its receiving equipment and continue to receive the offer to subscribe to the same as before.

The entry into service of Astra 1N at 19.2 ° East ensures good reception of their signals across Europe with a satellite dish with a diameter of 0.60 meters, with the exception of northern Europe where coverage is limited .

The Astra 1N satellite was launched into space in August 2011 by an Ariane 5 rocket. It is equipped with 52 Ku-band transponders (up to 40 in the BSS band with a bandwidth of 33 MHz ) and 64 repeaters in the FSS band ( width 26 MHz).
